Well here it is, the homecoming show, The Ashford Sings! Big Concert and Quiz.

More will be added as the day/week goes on.

Enjoy :-)

Home.

It seems strange being home after 4 very full days.

Particular highlights of the tour for me, were the first nights karaoke, the almost constant laughter, the audience at the first concert requesting an encore after we had done it, the way the audiences at both concerts seemed to come alive during "Don't stop me now" (perhaps we should have it as our opening song?).

Anyway, please check back here over the next few days, I will be posting some more photos, possibly some video highlights, and will finish with a blogpost or two about the BC&Q.

Dover, almost home.

Hello England, did you miss us.....

All at sea.

On the ferry and heading for England.

Next stop Dover.

Dunkirk.

We have had to get off the coach and do the whole passport control routine. They must have heard we were coming.....

Now waiting to board the ferry.

Auf Wiedersehen Germany.

We are on our way home, having a short rest stop just outside Brussels.

Soon to be home time......

It has been an amazing four days, some great memories, fantastic music.

But the best is yet to come.

The Ashford Sings! Big Concert and Quiz, on Easter Sunday.

The whole choir, the whole show, be there.

Bad Munster am Stein-Ebenburg. The Show!!!

We had to quickly rehearse a couple of extra songs, the audience expected an hour of music.

The show was great, plenty of energy and atmosphere, choir were on form, the venue's acoustics were first rate. It all gelled together perfectly.

Heading back to the hotel to relax, home tomorrow....

Bad Munster am Stein-Ebenburg. Part two.

Dinner at the castle was a nice, slightly rushed, meal. Good food, good company, shame we had to rush because of time constraints.

But we had a show to perform so back to the venue.

Bad Munster am Stein-Ebenburg. Part one.

Arrived at the venue, coach access was "interesting" (probably not the word Jason the driver used to describe it).
We got set up and soundchecked, and then headed off for dinner in the Castle.

Rhine cruise to Bingen.

A pleasant couple of hours, with lots of scenery to look at, and some very nice cake...

St Goar

A short stop for souvenir buying and coffee, before boarding the boat to Bingen.

If in doubt, start again :-)

Cannot get the posts to publish, so will endeavour to recreate them :-)

Slight technical hitch....

I had five updates, all ready to post, but the blogger app on my phone has decided to sulk and refuses to publish them.

I'm working on the problem, normal(ish) service will be resumed shortly......

Day three is upon us.

Today, we get sent up the river, to a castle.... :-)

Bad Munstereifel - Group Photo

Bad Munstereifel. Part two

The concert went brilliantly. The choir sounded great, especially the soloists (sorry about the batteries in the cordless mic).

Some of us stayed for a meal while the rest went back to the town centre.

Bad Munstereifel. Part one.

We've arrived, had a guided tour, and stopped for lunch.

And now we are off to the venue for the concert, which has been advertised everywhere......

No turning back.

It's time to put on tshirts,
It's time to dress up right,
It's time to sing to Germans,
We are Ashford Sings!, that's right.

Day 2 begins.

It's time to play the music,
It's time to light the lights,
It's time to sing to Germans,
On the AS! tour, that's right.

But first, breakfast :-)
